Budgeting and Forecasting

The annual budgeting process can be painful and time consuming.  It is frequently met with unpleasant assumptions and conflict.  It does not have to be that way.  A well prepared budget should provide information based on clearly defined plans and facts.  It should and can be self explanatory for all parties involved.

The J. Mark Black Consulting budget process provides the following:

  • Clearly defined monthly expenses
  • Explanations for all costs per line item
  • Annual Capital Equipment proposals
  • Staffing Charts
  • Forecasting based on clearly defined goals and objectives

Budgets are written for the benefit of all users from the General Manager to Accounts Payable.
